I got a henna tattoo at Venice Beach today. Unfortunately, it does not seem to have been worth my twenty dollars because the leaves of the tree already look faded and barely visible. I'm wishing now that I took a picture before peeling off the ink because it looked really cool. I decided on getting this particular tree because the trunk is very thick and old, the roots are deep, yet the leaves are fresh and young -- the tree of life. I also wanted it to be on my back/spine because that is the center of all life's activities (a.k.a. the central nervous system).
